The 2011-2012 field use rates approved the NTLL Board of Directors*:
The NTLL fiscal year begins August 1st. Anyone who would like to use NTLL maintained fields or cages will need to make checks payable to NTLL and remit payment, proof of insurance, and roster to Ed Thinger. Once payment, proof of insurance and rosters are received, you will be eligible to contact Jim Sutton and select 1 practice and 1 cage per week.
Priority will always be given to NTLL fall or spring season teams first. Travel team priority is based on a simple scoring model: pts for age of team + pts for NTLL friendly status (friendly = 2 / semi-friendly = 1 / non-friendly = 0) + pts if team has used our facility in the past (2 pts for first yr and 1 pt for each additional yr). For example:
· Team A: U10 team, is NTLL friendly and previously used NTLL field = 14 pts (10 + 2 + 2)
· Team B: U11 team, is NTLL friendly, but did not previously use NTLL fields = 13 pts (11 + 2 + 0)
· Team A gets priority on field / cage selection.
· Any ties will be broken by age - older group wins tie breaker
Your fee enables you to 1 practice field and 1 cage per week. The NTLL fall season officially begins Monday, August 29th with the Jr BB draft and ends with the last game on Saturday, November 12th. During the NTLL season, if you'd like to request an additional practice or cage there will be a cost of $25 for each additoinal slot. However, prior to and post the NTLL season, if you'd like additional practice slots (before 8/29 or after 11/12), you must email Jim Sutton with your requested day / time. Requests for additional slots will be on a first come - first serve basis. There will be no fee for additional field space from 8/1-8/29 and 11/13-12/31.
Game: hosting a single, double-header, or 3-play - $25 per day
Tournament: TBD
All teams will need to pay between $50 and $100 up front for the "extra" times they will be seeking and that will become a credit NTLL will keep track of in the database. A team will contact Jim Sutton, to verify an open slot exists and then $25 will be subtracted from their "credit". When they run out of credit, they will then need to send Ed Thinger more money to NTLL before they can ask for more field/cage/game times. This fee is in addition to your regular season rate. No team may host a game, even during their practice slot, without permission from NTLL or paying the $25 fee as we need to cover the cost of chalk, scoreboard use, etc.
Failure to notify NTLL of any hosted games may result in a $50 fine - in addition to the $25 fee, and possible loss of future field / cage use. There is also a $25 fee if the fields are left in an "unacceptable" condition, i.e. water bottles or trash left in dugouts and bleachers, mound left uncovered, lights left on, chalkers not put away, etc.
FEE SCHEDULE
SPRING SEASON - grants field use from 1/1 - 7/31
NTLL Friendly $200 (min 70% of roster playing on NTLL spring season team)
NTLL Semi-friendly $300 (min 50% of roster playing on NTLL spring season team)
Non-friendly $400 (less than 50% of roster playing on NTLL spring season team)
- the spring season is less than fall because the vast majority of the kids are playing NTLL baseball and are already paying for field use.
FALL SEASON (double what you paid in the spring) - grants field use from 8/1 - 12/31
the below "labels" are based on your FALL roster containing players who played spring NTLL...
NTLL Friendly $400 (min 70% of roster must have played previous spring NTLL)
NTLL semi-friendly $600 (min 50% of roster must have played previous spring NTLL)
Non-friendly $800 (less than 50% of roster played previous spring NTLL)
SPRING OR FALL: if a team wishes to only use a cage or a field, NOT both, the fee will be half of their appropriate rate listed above.
GRANDFATHER RULE: If a team’s roster contains players who have previously been dedicated to NTLL, but for reasons out of their control (i.e. the players no longer can play at NTLL because of boundary issues or other valid reasons), the board will look at adjusting their team’s rate to “friendly” on a case-by-case basis.
SAFETY: Remember, all players must wear helmets and shoes in the batting cages.
LIVE OAK CAGES: Softball teams may only use the softball cages: Cages A - D. Baseball teams may only use the baseball cages: Cages E - H. Baseball teams cannot use the softball cages. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in loss of field / cage privileges.
* - The spring rate is subject to change. If the county requires the league to pay for electricity, the Spring rate may increase. That will be determined by the January, 2012 board meeting.
